Job Description:
TCI has an immediate need for a Java Web Developer in
Washington, DC. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a
long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. In

Trust Security Clearance. This position will be located Washington
DC with local remote capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support to develop Web based applications including online
customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their
services online.Provide support in developing the site concept,
interface design, and architecture of the website. Provide support
for the implementation of interfaces to applications.Working
knowledge and experience coding in Java is preferred. Knowledge of
several of the following areas is desirable: Active Server Pages
(ASP), JavaScript, and SQL Server, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS
Access, HTML, DBMS's (ex. Oracle, SQL Server, etc.REQUIREMENTS
10+ years advanced computer programming skills in Java/J2EE, Web
Services/Design/Development and APIs.2+ years advanced computer
programming skills in JSF 2.x/PrimeFaces, JSP.4+ years advanced
computer programming skills in JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX/Angular
JS.Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications
using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active
Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS,
Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML, Kubernetes.Strong
knowledge of the following skillsets: Java, PL SQL,
HTML/JavaScript/CSS.Basic LINUX usage (navigating, reading files,
sudo commands).Experienced with Rational Application Development,
SQL Developer / SQL Plus, PuTTY / WinSCP, WebSphere, Subversion,
Microservices design, GCP or AWS Cloud Development, Security,
Performance tuning.A degree from an accredited College/University
in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is
preferred.Moderate experience collaborating with end users to
define new Web-based software system requirements.Experience
authoring or contributing to software-related documentation such as
requirements specifications, design documents, technical manuals,
and user manuals.Developer should be familiar with control-M jobs /
POB system, as well as the basics of how the AFT system works. We
use AFT to package and export data downstream to MIRS and
CDAS.Skills in: DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and the
Solutions Development Framework (Docker, Jenkins,
GitLab).Knowledge/experience with Agile
Methodologies.Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices and
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).Change Management and
Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc).Must be U.S.
Citizen and eligible for a Public Trust
