Job Description:

A services organization in Washington, D.C. is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new AWS Developer to their team. In this role, the AWS Developer will be responsible for engineering support relating to resources and facilities management, database planning and design, systems analysis and design, network services, programming, conversion and implementation support, network services project management, data/records management, and other computer related services. This a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work a few days a week onsite. Responsibilities: The AWS Developer will:

• Play a key role in designing and developing AWS native applications
• Provide requirements analysis, software design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of custom solutions.
• Document solutions and specifications and create and complete user stories via Jira
• Leverage available platforms, infrastructure as code templates, and to continuously optimize application performance
• Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of AWS Development experience
  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
  • AWS Developer certification
  • Experience with NodeJS, Java, XML.
  • Familiarity with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Git, Jenkins, EC2, Step Function, Hive, Glue Catalog, Spectrum, Athena, S3, SNS, SQS, etc.
  • Experience with Python Scripting languages
  • Strong experience in analyzing and designing data migration strategies to load data from on-prem data warehouse to cloud data warehouse (Redshift)
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized Desired Skills:
    • Experience / knowledge of XML, FIXML, and/or FPML
    • Experience in the Financial industry
