We offer numerous prime contract opportunities with customers headquartered in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, as well as subcontract opportunities that align with our areas of focus and additional opportunities nationwide through our parent company. - Boeing Intelligence & Analytic -is seeking a -Software Engineer -to join their software development team Work Location: - - -Annapolis Junction, MD - - Telework Availability: TBD What you will do (day in the life): - -As a Software Engineer, some of your duties will include:Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDebug existing software and correct defectsProvide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standardsDesign and code new software or modify existing software to add new featuresIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environmentsDevelop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositoriesWrite or review software and system documentationServe as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular projectDesign or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queriesDevelop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standardsAssist with developing and executing test procedures for software componentsDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areasModify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performanceDesign, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of designDesign or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints; Perform quality control on team productsImplement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standardsOversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular projectConfer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfacesCoordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are metTechnical experience with: Java 8RESTJMSJSONJava SecurityJenkinsJunit/MockitoMongo DBElasticSearch / ElkGIT / GITLabMAVENGoogle GuiceVertexMicroservicesDocker20+ years' experience with:Overseeing one or more software development teamsProviding production support by monitoring the system and examining application logs.Learning existing legacy applications and flows by tracing through code and testing software.Executing all phase of the software development life-cycle requirements analysis, design, code, and test.Development of software solutions by analyzing system performance standardsAssisting with development and execution of test procedures for software componentsDesigning, developing, and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of designCollaborating with system engineers deriving software requirements and system performance requirementsCollaborating with system administration team for software installation and configurationWriting or reviewing software system documentation - Required Experience: Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph -Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
