Title: Senior Penetration Tester
Location: Washington, DC
Clearance: SecretOverview: The Senior Penetration Tester will be the subject matter expert to develop and lead an adaptable, expandable team of penetration testers. The team is responsible for testing and validating the security of the customer's assigned capabilities and programs. They will act as technical leads for test and exercise events as required. The penetration testing program will include synchronization with existing blue teams, vulnerability research, mitigation development, system testing, and vulnerability reporting. Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Develop security engineering requirements, procedures, and policies for penetration and red team testing activities as required
  
• Acquire a complete understanding of a customer's technology and information systems
  
• Conduct applied security research on security standards, authentication tools, and protocols in support of assigned technologies
  
• Identify COTS/GOTS systems integration issues and security control implementation deficiencies and recommend mitigation actions to bolster security posture
  
• Perform security testing and risk and security assessments using a penetration tester mindset as required
  
• Conduct in-depth security engineering reviews and approve proposed systems/application security control implementations used
  
• Provide technical supervision for (and guidance to) a security team as required
  
• Oversee security awareness programs and educational efforts as required
  
• Test final security structures to ensure they behave as expected
  
• Deliver technical reports and formal papers on test findings
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred, with a minimum of 10 (ten) years of related work experience; an additional (4) four years of work experience may be substituted instead of a degree
    
  • Solid background in systems architecture and engineering supporting data science projects
    
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, with the ability to work independently or as a member of a team
    
  • Must be comfortable working with personnel on all levels of an organization
    
  • The ability to travel required
    
  • Current CEH or equivalent required
    
  • Must have one of the following additional certifications: OSCP, OSCE, OSWP, OSWE, ECSA, LPT Master, GCIH, GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, GAWN
    
  • Must be a US Citizen
    
  • Must maintain a secret clearance
