consultants on the Advanced Analytics & Intelligent Automation
(AAIA) team help clients maximize the value of their data and
automate business processes. This high performing team works with
clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data
science, from data engineering and data wrangling to data
visualization and dashboarding, to predictive analytics, machine
learning, and artificial intelligence as well as robotic process
automation (RPA). Our services enable our clients to define their
information strategy, enable mission critical insights and
data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase
trust, and improve operational effectiveness. Our consultants focus
on client services, while also supporting business development,
internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development. -
Belong to a collaborative AAIA team. - Focus on client services,
while also supporting business development, internal firm
initiatives, and professional development in data engineering or
data science software, methods, and consulting. - Support client
engagements as a data engineer partnering with data scientists,
analysts, and cross-functional teams to discover, collect, cleanse,
and refine data for analysis and modeling. - Perform complex data
queries. - Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) functions and
develop, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipeline
architectures and tools. - Work with data integration and
management tools and databases. - Understand client needs and
translate them to technical requirements. What You Will Need:
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust
clearance.
- B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
computational discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience as a data
engineer.
- Expertise designing and developing interrogating databases with
Structured Query Language (SQL) to develop complex queries
involving joins, subqueries, aggregation, indices, common table
expressions, and query optimization.
- Experience developing complex data pipelines and extract -
transform - load (ETL) processes and performing data engineering
for various types of data, files, and repositories.
- Experience using tools such as IBM Infosphere / DataStage,
Informatica, or similar ETL tools.
- Proficiency moving and manipulating data of different types and
file types using Python.
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, data
cleansing, and segmentation techniques.
- Skills in applying pattern recognition techniques to large
structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sets to automate
and optimize data wrangling (extract, transform, clean, evaluate,
normalize/standardize, and organize) from disparate sources.
- Experience performing data engineering to enable data science
and machine learning.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, columnar data
warehouses, NoSQL, and other storage types.
- Experience gathering requirements, designing, implementing, and
testing database systems.
- Experience architecting data solutions in cloud environments
(AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge/experience designing and building distributed systems
for scalability and security.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Strong consulting skills: identifying and addressing needs,
building relationships, being flexible, being creative,
communicating effectively to technical and non-technical
stakeholders.What Would Be Nice To Have:
- M.S./M.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
computational discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience as a data
engineer.
- Familiarity with DevOps and container technologies
(Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ability to instrument basic automation and CI/CD.
- Experience using Databricks.
- Experience with micro services architecture and API
gateways.
- Experience with source code version control technologies such
as Git.
- Ability to code and debug stored procedures.
- Experience programming in Java.
- Understanding of NoSQL databases.
- Ability to support business development including RFP/RFQ/RFI
responses or white papers.
- Knowledge of National Security and Defense organizations.What
