SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated team oriented individual to join in the role of Microsoft Exchange Engineer in Washington DC on the Day shift.
The selected individual will support the Department of State, and will perform Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange Systems proactive monitoring, maintenance, escalations/incident resolution and implementation of standard changes. The individual will be a member of a core Engineer team that supports IRM users globally across the enterprise on a 24x7x365 basis.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Provide MS Exchange Engineering support to IT projects throughout the project lifecycle
  
  
• 
  Create and contribute to critical design documents
  
  
• 
  Translate customer needs into hardware/software requirements for existing and/or new hardware/software applications
  
  
• 
  Provide Tier III and above support to deployed systems
  
  
• 
  Assist in the development of enterprise policies and directives
  
  
• 
  Participate in functional or user acceptance testing to ensure final product meets intent of customer's needs
  
  
• 
  Review and document functionality of existing legacy applications
  
  
• 
  Communicate regularly to project manager regarding project activities and status
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Active Secret clearance (must be eligible for Top Secret clearance)
    
    
  • 
    5 + years' experience supporting IT modernization projects; experience following a project framework with based project lifecycle phases and milestones.
    
    
  • 
    Working knowledge of large-scale MS Active Directory deployment and maintenance and DNS.
    
    
  • 
    Strong PowerShell Scripting experience (creating and deploying custom scripts).
    
    
  • 
    Engineering support of on-premise and off-premise technologies - MS Exchange servers, Microsoft 365, Skype, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
    
    
  • 
    Experience performing virtual server analysis and capacity planning and testing; working knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
    
    
  • 
    LAN/WAN networking experience
    
    
  • 
    Experience with Antivirus/malware and patch management technologies
    
    
  • 
    Experience with systems management tools (SCOM and SCCM) and deployment experience with those tools
    
    
  • 
    Experience supporting Gov't security requirements - IV&V, systems compliance, etc.
