The George Mason University, Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy
(CEBCP), housed within the Department of Criminology, Law and
Society, invites applications for Software Developer to work in the
Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (W/B

About the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy (CEBCP):
The CEBCP, founded in 2008, seeks to make scientific research a key
component in decisions about crime and justice policies. The CEBCP
carries out this mission by advancing rigorous studies in criminal
justice and criminology through research-practice collaborations,
and proactively serving as an informational and translational link
to practitioners and the policy community.
About the HIDTA Program:
The HIDTA Program is a federal grant program administered by the
White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to
provide resources that assist federal, state, local, and tribal
agencies to coordinate activities that address drug trafficking in
specifically designated areas of the United States. Information and
intelligence sharing are keys to successful investigations, drug
treatment and prevention programs, and drug policy development.
About the Position:
This Software Developer will report to the Network Operations
Center within the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug
Trafficking Area (W/B HIDTA) and report to the Software Development
Unit Supervisor. This position will be responsible for the
implementation of requirements of our PMP (Performance Management
System) Project and its supporting databases, reports, analytical
products, and maintenance.
This position may involve travel.
Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field;
or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience: Experience (generally 3+ years) working within the
Microsoft.Net development technologies. Experience working with
other development languages, scripting languages, and database
platforms.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The individual in this
position must be able to develop software using the Microsoft.NET
and JavaScript Development technologies.
* Due to the nature of the work, must possess the ability to obtain
a Secret level government clearance.
** The position must be available for emergencies at all times.
Significant or special events may occur and may include crises or
high-level investigations related to terrorism or criminal
activities. Additionally, events such as a computer virus situation
may require the knowledge and skills of the incumbent during hours
other than normal work hours.

BALTIMORE, MD & RESTON, VA.
