Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is actively seeking an experienced Software Engineer to fill a role that requires a broad array of knowledge and skills working with team members to support the AFATDS project.We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an impeccable work ethic and a strong ability to work in a collaborative fast-moving dynamic team environment.Responsibilities are in more than one of the following information systems and/or related areas: personal computer applications training, data control and scheduling coordination, systems administration, data security administration, and associated fields.Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Derive and maintain a cohesive program software architecture based on customer requirements, customer interactions, subject matter expert inputs, system architecture artifacts, and business objectives
    • Communicate development concepts to software developers, program management, and customer representatives during meetings
    • Collaborate with system engineering personnel to assess requirements, and to ensure consistency between system architecture and software architecture
    • Use Jira, Confluence, Git/Bitbucket collaboration and source control tools to communicate information Assist in identifying potential roadblocks and develop around them
    • Support planning and estimation of development tasks and work to improve performance metricsBasic Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in related technical field and 4 years prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
      • Experience in: Java/ J2EE technologies (Sockets, JPA, XML (DOM and SAX parsers)) - Experience in PostgresSQL (RDBMS, PL/SQL, Referential Integrity)
      • Experience in Relational DB models and JPA Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
      • Active DoD Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:
        • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOAs) and specifically, OSGi
        • Experience with AFATDS, Army Common Operating Environment (COE) or other PM MC systems - Experience with Windows(Processes, IPC, caching, Windows Registry)
        • Experience with Windows scripting (Batch, PowerShell)
        • Ability to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced, development environment
        • Excellent verbal and written skills; Proficiency with MS Offi ce Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)Salary Range: 74000 - 105000Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
