Software Engineer (Equity Modeling Technology) Chicago London New York The Job Details are as follows: Role overview A software engineer with the Equity Modeling Technology (EMT) team is responsible for delivering solutions to our front office Equity teams, Research teams and for our Risk Management function. The solutions EMT builds include but are not limited to the construction of factor model frameworks, modeling of market data and analytics, API design and interactive tools (web) based around Equity Factor Models that drive the Risk and Attribution for our Equity Long / Short business. The engineer will interact with Portfolio Manager teams, quantitative researchers and risk managers to outline requirements for risk analytics and requisite toolkits. This person needs to be a very strong communicator, be able to multi-task and be able to excel in a fast-paced trading environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a financial services organization with an exceptional technical background and in-depth knowledge of risk systems related to Equity Factor Models. Responsibilities

• Convert business requirements into technology solutions
• Implement solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Model securities and analytics
• Build visual interfaces for configuration of models
• Resolve issues quickly with agile analysis and problem-solving abilities
• Ownership of individual work and solutions Qualification and requirements
  • 10+ years development background with at least 5 years within the financial service industry
  • Exceptional software development skills in C#/.NET, Java or similar object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with Python, R, or similar statistical analysis language
  • Experience with Web Development
  • Experience with Equity Factor Models
  • Experience with REST API Design
  • Large scale data warehousing experience
  • Self-starter who can work independently and be able to drive a project from inception through delivery
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in mathematics, computer science or closely related field
