The Software Architect will work as a leading member of the Product Development team and, more specifically, the Central Technology Group to support and enhance the application architecture and the framework. The Technical Architect will frequently be tasked with researching new tools and technologies and asked to come up with recommendations on how they can be used in Cvent applications. The Technical Architect will also be expected to actively participate in design and implementation of projects featuring a high degree of technical complexity and/or scalability and performance implications. Cvent---s Technology Team is a great opportunity for you to:Spec, design, develop, and debug scalable and high-performance, service-based web applicationsPlay a leading role in supporting and enhancing the architecture and the framework of Cvent applicationsHelp define technical solutions and a unified framework from the design and architecture through development, testing, and releaseHelp guide the technology directions by recommending specific technologies to pursue, suggesting training and staff development activitiesIdentify and address technical debt as our applications evolveEvaluate and prototype POC using the best technologies for the jobConduct performance-testing by using application profiler and load-testing toolsDefine and implement automated build, deployment, and testing proceduresIdentify and resolve potential application security vulnerabilitiesImprove system scalability and application isolationAbout you and some insight to our stack:10 years of web application development, with recent experience in React, Node and GraphQLExperienced with any of the following is an additional plus: Java, C#, Typescript60% hands-on coding on a day to day basisExperience with using Amazon AWSExpertise in open source technologies and NoSQL DB technology such as Couchbase, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.Strong knowledge of application-profiling and performance-tuningStrong understanding of internet securityStrong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and limitation issues EEO[/AA]/Minorities/Females/Disabled/VeteransAt Cvent we celebrate, support and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
