Qualified candidates will have a creative, holistic, and systematic approach to problem-solving.The Senior Developer provides short- and long-range Information Technology (IT) support for the US Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), a Subcommand to the US Army Futures Command (AFC), which conducts medical research to optimize the health and readiness of U.S. troops. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of VMWare, ESX, LinuxOS, Java-JDK + Oracle RDBMS, JavaScript, and Apache Tomcat-outputting HTML, XML, JSON, XLS, and static files, as well as experience working in a fast-paced federal government environment.--The Senior Developer shall provide system development and enhancement support services in an agile development environment to facilitate rapid changes to requirements to meet expanding needs, changes in processes, increasing user base, technological changes, and government mandated standards. The Senior Developer will provide all day-to-day system operations and maintenance support services to ensure system is operational, monitor system performance to identify inefficiencies, make recommendations for improvements, and develop additional system capabilities and integrations. The Senior Developer will assist in resolving technical issues related to business requirements and mission objectives, and develop system designs, process flows, and necessary technical documentation. The Senior Developer is also responsible for:Support data requests from internal stakeholders as well as to support rapid requests from higher levels (i.e. Congress, USAMRDC, Defense Health Agency, DoD, Army, MEDCOM). Ensure proper DoD IM/IT security procedures and protocols/Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) are followed and report any security concerns to the COR,PM,/BSM. Ensure system is in compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA). Analyze, develop and implement testing procedures, programming and documentation. Monitor and ensure functionality of existing and new system-to-system interfaces and views, resolve issues in coordination with the Technical Lead. Update, install and test as needed DoD approved third party plugins and softwareProvide support for integration of commercial or custom developed modules, plugins and other application components by 3rd party vendors, other government agencies and other contractors. Provide support for exports of EGS data for import into other systems and in response to data requests from external sources. Assist Government and other staff (other contractors) who are responsible for EGS activities including maintenance of operating system, servers, software updates and security requirements as well as data management, user support personnel.Monitor system performance to identify inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.Make the necessary changes to the EGS application and/or database to fix errors, defects and issues.

• Analyze the Government's requirements for new or enhanced system functions and features in order to plan, design, develop and implement such functions.
• Provide support for analysis, strategy and migration to alternate government approved hosting services/provider as needed.--Qualified candidates will be strong communicators with collaborative, creative, and analytical problem-solving skillsets.Experience Level:
  Education: Bachelor's degree.Experience: 7-10 years of experience in system development and enhancement, day-to-day system operations and maintenance support services to ensure system is operational, monitoring system performance to identify inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements, and developing or applying fixes to application and/or database errors, defects and issues. The preferred candidate will also have 5-7 years of experience with federal acquisition programs. Veterans from the pay grades of 0-3 or E-7 and above are highly encouraged to apply.Certifications:

  Must be familiar with Java JDK, IntelliJ, Ultra Edit, Mozilla Firefox, Oracle SQL Developer, and Microsoft Visio.Must be U.S. CitizenMust have at least a Public Trust Clearance--
