Job DescriptionTechnology is constantly changing, and our adversaries are digitally "going dark" at a rate that is exceeding law enforcement's ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. The Government has trusted in Peraton to provide the technical ability, tools, and resources to bring criminals to justice. In response to this challenge, we are seeking a talented Sr Systems Engineer with Linux to support cl oud development activities leveraging AWS cloud technologies to maintain an enterprise-scale environment used by application developers and end-users. Some remote work may be available during COVID. * Provide a full range of duties of O&M of end-to-end cloud environments * Provision and Maintain Amazon Web Services Cloud Environment EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Cloud Formation, Cloud Trail * Provision and patch RedHat/Centos * Maintain Apache Applications such as Tomcat, SOLR Cloud, and Zookeeper * SSL/TLS Certificate Administration * Develop, Maintain, and Execute Configuration Management Scripts such as Ansible or Puppet * Write, test, and deploy scripts to build out infrastructure. * Provide support to the DevOps team * Support Failover/Recovery Disaster * Responsible for recovery planning to include monitoring, security and performance Required Qualifications * BS degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience. However, equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * Ten (10) years of systems engineering/administration experience. * Five (5) years of experience with virtualization platforms. * Five (5) years of experience coordinating activities of technology product and service vendors and leading technical infrastructure design activities. * A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph. Desired Qualifications * Experience with VSphere and F5 * Have worked with the Atlassian suite of agile development tools * Have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Atlassian Bitbucket/Bamboo or Gitlab Runner * You've worked in a Linux environment * You've worked on an Agile development team We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
