Job Description:

Technical Program Management Responsibilities
•Technical program management experience to assist in the provide support for IT software acquisitions and contract administration activities.
•End-to-end monitoring, creation and contract administration for Software related activities.
•The resource will work with the customer to gather requirements; perform market research to identify industry leaders and technology trends; create acquisition documents, such as Statements of Work, purchase agreements, and acquisition justification; and provide support throughout the entire acquisition process.
•An acquisition background in Senior Buyer or Procurement would be beneficial but not required.
•Project management experience in successfully managing medium to large projects involving Software implementations, which includes distributed computing, mainframe, mobility and storage.
•Detailed knowledge of IT security and Section 508 IT Accessibility requirements, processes and technologies
 
Position Requirements for this Contract to hire Technical Program Manager
•15+ years of Information Technology professional experience, including at least 10 years in IT project/program management demonstrating increasingly larger efforts and scope of responsibility. To include, previous PM experience in more than one enterprise web application
•Proficient in technical writing and communication in regards to software requirements, processes, statement of work, and practices.
•Demonstrated implementation of Software Projects
•Ability in Advanced Microsoft Access
•Knowledge of License Optimization
•Knowledge of Software Asset Management tools
•Ability in regards to web design encompassing advanced ability of Microsoft SharePoint and/or MicroStrategy
•Ability to lead the business process and organizational change management transformations that accompany software implementation projects
•Required Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
•Demonstrated strong project/program management skills in technology related field (PgMP or PMP certification desired)
•Unique/Additional Requirements Knowledge of USPS processes and procedures is a plus
