Job Description:

The Sitecore Web Application developer is responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom Sitecore projects that conforms to client standards. This individual must be able to customize and develop using the Sitecore API or web services in Sitecore. Our Sitecore Web Application Developers are capable of full cycle project leadership including application architecture and .NET web application development. The ideal candidate is a motivated and energetic individual who takes initiative, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, can find solutions to a varying number of challenges, and takes extreme pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment including collaborating on solutions from concept to completion.

• Development using C#, following agile, iterative, or traditional methodologies; test and verify development, work with other developers and software engineers, communicate with internal and external clients.

• Keeping up to date with Internet best practices and trends in the content management field.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• BS in Computer Science or related major; Master?s degree a plus

• Full-life-cycle software development

• Passion for creating highly usable websites that optimize the user experience

• 4+ years? hands on experience using Sitecore CMS

• 4+ years? experience with ASP.NET using C# and ADO.NET; 6+ years? preferred

• 4+ years? experience with Web Services and XML; 6+ years? preferred

• 4+ years? experience working within a structured (iterative models preferred) development lifecycle methodology, System Integration and Infrastructure Optimization experience, leveraging documented APIs;

• 3+ years? experience with SQL/TSQL and SQL Server 2005/2008

• Experience with AJAX /JQuery is a plus

• Experience identifying and addressing performance and scalability issues

• Proven ability for developing high-volume web applications

• Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent problem solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality products

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A proven history in architecting, installing, configuring, and administering Sitecore installations of all sizes is great news to us!
