This is not just a developer position, but a developer with an
approach to think holistically to provide innovative solutions that
are flexible and dependable. You will be part of a software
development team that will work on projects for critical Freddie
Mac core applications. Your team will comprise of business,
analysis, testing, and infrastructure partners, all working
together to enhance the capabilities of these systems. Your Work
Falls Into Three Primary Categories: Software Development
Understand Business needs and processes; identify solutions,
present and work with project team/sponsors in identifying best
solution Participate in Requirements Analysis; design Applications
based on System Requirements; promote top code quality and tackle
challenging issues related to performance tuning and scalability.
Provide production support that includes evaluate defects,
investigate cause and come up with solutions to address defects.
Implementation of software application changes with aggressive
deployment timelines. Execute department processes in a
high-quality, efficient and team oriented manner. DevOps Contribute
in creating delivery pipelines for newly created Micro Services on
Docker and Open shift platforms. Support building Micro Services
practice within development group with objective to create
standards, tools and training other developers. Application Support
Support one of Freddie Mac's core applications in providing Level 3
support. This support includes providing fixes to production
defects and making light enhancements. Quickly evaluate defects,
investigate cause and come up with solutions to address the defect.
Production support and providing clear communication to Management,
Logistics and the Business on the resolution of incidents.
Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
or Information Technology or related field or equivalent
combination of education and experience from which knowledge and
skills may be obtained Minimum of 3 years of experience in software
development; 2 years of proven experience and specialized training
or certification in the following technologies: J2EE, Java 8, Web
Development and SQL; Groovy a plus; Experience with automated test
scripts and security scans Experience in using Java & UI frameworks
- Angular, Spring, STRUTS or Jquery Position requires strong
analytical skills, software engineering process skills, and the
understanding of XML and creation of XML test data. Experience with
UML, SQL and UNIX Shell Script Experience with SOAP based Web
services is preferred. Experience with REST based Web services is
preferred. Familiarity with Bootstrap, JSON, Jenkins, Maven Builds
is a plus. Experience in developing APIs using Spring / Spring Boot
framework, ideally with Docker container or OpenShift Cloud
Platform (OCP) Looking for strong understanding and implementation
of tried and true as well as modern design patterns and
architectural principles. Languages: Java, C#, AngularJS, node.js,
Python Modern Tools: TFS, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet,
Cucumber/Specflow, Atlassian Suite (Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket), Git
DBs: SQL, Mongo, DB2 (Legacy Sybase for transformation efforts)
Cloud: Preferably AWS Optional: Azure, Google Other: Docker, RH
Openshift, Kubernetes, Mobile development, Hands-on experience with
build pipeline and deployment tools and languages preferred
Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry is a nice to have. Experience
with Agile or Waterfall software development project methodologies
preferred Excellent verbal and written communication Proven
analytical ability and problem-solving skills Self-starter;
collaborative; problem-solver Organized, ability to meet deadlines,
work independently, handle multiple priorities Proficient in
documenting and communicating ideas clearly Ability to resolve
