Job Requirements:The General Human Resources Representative II will perform an array of mid-level Human Resources functions to include but not limited to Onboarding, Offboarding, Benefits, Professional Development, and other related areas. Heavy data entry. Monitoring multiple Microsoft Outlook e-mail accounts/mailboxes. Conducting weekly new hire orientation and updating the orientation presentation as needed. Processing professional development requests and maintaining required documentation. Completing verification of employment and background investigation requests. Processing employee recognition awards and entering payroll anomalies as needed. Purchasing employee morale gifts. Completing expense reports. Completing onboarding tasking. Assisting with the monitoring of completion of company required training. Completing offboarding tasks. Entering unemployment insurance claims employer responses. Performing HRIS password resets. Assisting with leave administration and interactive process including but not limited to:
Completing ADA accommodation forms. Completing FMLA forms. Creating benefit repayment plans. Assisting with benefit administration including but not limited to:
Completing bill reconciliations. Assisting with COBRA administration. Assisting with qualifying life event requests. Processing benefit changes in HRIS. Assisting with open enrollment. Assisting with the 401(k) audit. Creating reports utilizing advanced filters and excel functions. For example:
Financial Logical Text Date & Time Lookup & Reference PivotTables Charts Data Validation Text to Columns Conditional Formatting Interpreting and communicating Human Resources policies to workforce. Conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing recommendations on assigned projects. Travel will be required to VA location. Other duties as assigned. Experience using human resources information systems for benefits, employee records, onboarding, and reporting and analytics; UKG/UltiPro preferred. Experience using applicant tracking system; iCIMS preferred. Proficient with Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, and SharePoint. Education and Experience: These are the degrees, certifications, and types of experience necessary to successfully perform the job.
At minimum, a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. At least 3-years of demonstrated generalized Human Resources experience. Current Human Resources and/or Benefits credentials or certification(s) preferred. At least 1-year of demonstrated successful experience working remotely. Physical Requirements: These are the essential physical requirements needed to successfully perform the job.--
Sedentary work.
Lifting up to 10 pounds unassisted. May require standing or walking up to 2-hours per day. Requires sitting up to 8-hours per day. May require frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pushing, and pulling. Fine repetitive motor skills with your hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with your eyes. Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over video, and over the telephone. Speaking: Able to communicate clearly in person, over video, and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public.
