the position below!JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary: The Director of Banquets
oversees all private and club events and has a tremendous role
impacting a member's enjoyment of their Club through attendance of
club events. The same is true for private events a member may hold
at the Cosmos Club. The success of that event reflects well on the
member which again helps create a positive relationship with the
member and this Club. Leading the banquet team and fostering
relationships and communication with that staff is also essential
as this team will take care of the members.Primary Functions:
- Works with the catering team, Banquet Chef and others to
schedule and coordinate personnel requirements for private
functions
- Develops detailed plans for each catered event in conjunction
with the Club's managers (Food and Beverage Director, Executive
Chef, Banquet Chef, catering team and housekeeping team, as
necessary)
- Serves as liaison between banquet service personnel and other
staff members on the Club's team
- Diagrams buffet tables, guest tables and other function room
set-up needs for special events
- Holds pre-function meetings with staff to ensure smooth,
efficient events and functionsPhysical Demands: The physical

this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently
is required to stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands to
finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull food trays, carts,
chairs and tables up to 40 lbs with or without reasonable

- Minimum of 5 years of previous supervisory experience in
hospitality venue preferred
- Superb customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solver and team player
- Flexible with varying schedules to reflect business needs
- Must have knowledge of food & beverage preparation and
service
