Cashier Department of the Navy Commander, Navy Installations Commander, Navy Installations Command Overview - ##### Open & closing dates 11/22/2019 to 11/27/2019 - ##### Service Competitive - ##### Pay scale & grade NF 1 - ##### Salary $13.40 to $16.91 per hour Current MWR NSA, Bethesda Warrior Cafe employees only. - ##### Appointment type Permanent - ##### Work schedule Full-Time - RFT :35 - 40 hrs/wk; with benefitsLocation 1 vacancy in the following location: - Bethesda, MD 1 vacancy Relocation expenses reimbursed No Telework eligible No- Duties Summary This position is assigned to the Warrior Cafe, Food and Beverage Division, for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). The primary purpose of this position is to provide a service to military and civilian employees. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Incumbent will be working at the Warrior Caf serving military and civilian employees. Rings food and beverage sales on cash register, receives payment, and gives accurate amount of change. Weighs food on scale to charge patrons correctly. Receives, counts, and verifies monies received, against daily cash reports for accuracy and prepares daily sales report. Provides assistance to patrons in a friendly and courteous manner. Perfoms daily upkeep of workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and stocking all necessary items (forks, spoons, napkins, drinks and ice stations, ketchup, etc). Performs other related duties as assigned. Travel Required Not required Supervisory status No Promotion Potential 01 - #### Job family (Series) 0530 Cash Processing- Requirements Conditions of Employment - This position may be designated ALPHA personnel for inclement weather or in the interest of national security and may be required to report for work when other employees are excused. - This position requires working nights, weekends, and holidays, with a possibility of rotating shifts, often consisting of other than normal duty hours. - The incumbent must obtain and maintain the Access National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) security clearance with no access to classified information and must remain suitable for continued employment in National Security positions. - Males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. ****************** - Selectee is required to participate in the direct depository pay program. - The staff member may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, as necessary to meet mission requirements. Qualifications Must have knowledge of basic cash handling procedures, be familiar with currency and negotiability requirements, and be able to operate a cash register. Knowledge of business mathematics and routine office procedures required. Six months of experience is preferred. Education Additional information Due to Command policy on employee parking, employment does not guarantee a parking space on the installation. Metro is highly encouraged.
