working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Washington,
Washington DC, 20007! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years required,
travel experience required License: Must possess valid state
nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: -
IMC/Stepdown experience required - Candidate must successfully pass
the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of
80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms - Every other weekend
required Description: This Registered Nurse will assume the care of
admitted patients with varying diagnoses while they are boarding in
the ED awaiting bed placement on an inpatient unit. Candidates must
possess skills in cardiac telemetry, ER holding, and
PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Additional skills required include remote
telemetry monitoring, accessing/managing ports, and central line
care/management. The RN will manage cardiac drips that do not
require titration and provide wound care as necessary.
Responsibilities include oxygen administration, IV insulin
protocols, and blood product administration. The RN will work with
an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapy,
respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Patient
populations will include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The
RN will be expected to work on weekends and float to other areas as
needed. This position will involve caring for patients with various
diagnoses, including neurology/stroke, orthopedics, oncology, and
