Excellent BC/BE Pediatric Cardiologist Opportunity The UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute provides nationally acclaimed cardiovascular care in south central Pennsylvania. About the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI): - UPMC HVI for south central PA expands across 6 different hospitals in the central PA region - Pediatric Cardiology and Adults with Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) service lines are deeply integrated in HVI. - Our institute is physician-centric and has shared governance - Good work/life balance associated with a large practice - We host a comprehensive, fully accredited noninvasive department which includes accredited pediatric echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, exercise stress testing, cardiometabolic testing including VO2 max for pediatric patients, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI About the Position: - The role centers on general pediatric cardiology care with duties spanning inpatient general cardiology service and outpatient clinics, alongside consultation for Pediatrics, PICU, and NICU - Call duties are shared on a 1:4 basis - Generous compensation package including guaranteed base salary - Medical malpractice and tail coverage - Commencement Bonus - CME allowance - Retirement savings and match - Moving relocation reimbursement and much more - Not an H-1B or J-1Visa opportunity Qualifications and team environment: Candidates must be ABMS BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologists capable of performing neonatal and pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms. Comfortable interpreting ECG, Holter, Stress testing. Experience in fetal echocardiography and other advance cardiac imaging (Cardiac MRI, CT) is a plus but not required. This role involves supporting both the ambulatory cardiology clinic and inpatient care, focusing on providing exceptional pediatric cardiac care in a collaborative environment. The division includes 4 full-time pediatric cardiologists and cardiac sonographers supported by a strong team. Cardiac surgeries, catheter-based interventions, and ECMO are referred to Tertiary care Children's Hospitals and patients return to us for follow-up care. Additional roles and community: The position involves collaboration with leadership to meet program goals, emphasizes safety and quality of care, and includes opportunities for teaching medical students, advance practice provider (APP) and residents.
