Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare
organization, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist for
evening shifts to join our team. Located in the vibrant
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, we provide patient-first health
services from primary care to advanced surgeries. This role focuses
on drug therapy management and advising both healthcare
professionals and patients within our hospital settings during the
evening hours. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach
to healthcare, delivering compassionate and precise care. Monitor
patient health and progress to make clinical decisions regarding
medication therapy Consult and collaborate with healthcare team
members to formulate treatment plans Educate patients and staff
about drug treatments and potential side effects Review, prepare,
and dispense medications and ensure compliance with laws Manage
drug inventory and security during evening shifts Stay updated with
the latest pharmaceutical science, technology, and industry trends
Strong knowledge of pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work
independently and make critical decisions Proficient in medication
therapy management software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current pharmacist licensure
in the state of practice Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy
Specialists (BCPS) preferred
