MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in the Washington D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, committed to delivering patient-first healthcare across our network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient processes of dispensing medications and health consultations, all while adhering to regulatory guidelines and promoting patient wellness and education. This role is pivotal in sustaining the high standards of healthcare services that MedStar Health is renowned for, efficiently coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes. Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy and improve patient outcomes. Educate patients on medication management and health maintenance. Monitor patient drug therapies and provide intervention and consultation as necessary. Manage pharmacy inventory and conduct medication therapy management reviews. Adhere to infection-control protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Thorough knowledge of drug administration and health and safety guidelines. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure. Proficiency in pharmacy information systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active state Pharmacist license. Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or similar is a plus.
