Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 3x12 schedule (three 12-hour shifts per week) • Every other weekend and every other holiday required • Float within skillset as needed • No on-call required • 2 years of emergency department experience required • Travel experience required • Must have worked in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day) within past 8 months • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS • Cerner EMR experience required • Triage experience required • Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms • Patient ratios: 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Daily census of approximately 130 patients with 40 rooms/beds • 36 hours of orientation provided • Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage fast-paced ER environment • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions • Maryland nursing license or compact license required Facility: This healthcare facility operates a high-volume emergency department serving a diverse patient population with comprehensive emergency services.
