contract (Oncology travel nurse opportunity) - Start Date: March
30, 2026 - End Date: June 29, 2026 - Setting: Outpatient Infusion
Center – Urology & GYN Oncology (chemotherapy / immunotherapy) -
Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (08:00–16:30) - Hours per
Week: 40 - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,010 – $2,120 - Patient
Population: Adults (daily census: 40–70 patients; 25 infusion
rooms) - Charting / EHR: Oncology MedConnect (Cerner) -
Orientation: 36 hours Oncology Infusion Nurse Requirements - Active
DC Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
(required for Washington, DC assignment) - Minimum 2 years recent
experience in outpatient oncology or infusion nursing (chemotherapy
nurse / infusion RN) - Experience administering chemotherapy and
immunotherapy for Urology and GYN Oncology patients - BLS
certification (AHA) - Chemotherapy certification (ONS / ONCC) -
Familiarity with intravesical bladder instillations for bladder
cancer - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) - Preferred:
Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card, prior charge or clinic
flow experience, Cerner charting experience, community hospital
background - Two (2) supervisor references required; please be
prepared to submit RN license and references when applying Key
Responsibilities (Infusion RN / Oncology RN) - Deliver safe,
evidence-based infusion care for adult urology and GYN oncology
patients in an outpatient infusion center - Prepare and administer
chemotherapy and immunotherapy per protocol, including
pre-medication, infusion monitoring, and post-infusion care -
Perform thorough patient assessments and respond to urgent events
such as anaphylaxis, extravasation, and severe infusion reactions -
Access and maintain vascular access devices (ports, PICCs), perform
central line blood draws, and start/maintain IVs - Recognize and
communicate abnormal lab values and clinical changes; coordinate
care with interdisciplinary teams - Educate patients and families
on treatment, side effect management, and home care following
chemotherapy and immunotherapy - Follow safe handling procedures
for cytotoxic agents, including spill management and proper
disposal - Document accurately and efficiently in Oncology
MedConnect (Cerner) and support clinical quality metrics - Support
clinic flow, care coordination, and telephone triage as needed Why
