Join a high-acuity, fast-paced combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population in suburban Olney, Maryland. /n/nJob Details/n /n - Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Travel ER Nurse/n - Location: Olney, MD 20832 (On-Site) — Maryland nursing jobs, near Washington, D.C. metro area/n - Contract Type: Travel Assignment (travel nursing job)/n - Start Date: April 7, 2026/n - End Date: July 7, 2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680–$1,770 (competitive travel nurse pay)/n - Unit: Emergency Room — 39 beds, ~90 visits/day (combined adult/pediatric ED)/n - Patient Population: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics/n - Charting System: Cerner EMR (experience required)/n - Orientation: 12-hour unit orientation; 28 hours total/n - Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required/n /n/nJob Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience in a combined adult/pediatric ED (Emergency Department RN or ER nurse)/n - Active Maryland RN license or compact state RN license (eligible to work in Maryland)/n - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC and ENPC preferred)/n - Proven experience with Cerner EMR (first-time travelers accepted with Cerner experience)/n - Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)/n - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)/n - Previous charge experience preferred/n - Two (2) supervisor references required/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Perform rapid triage, focused assessments, and ongoing reassessments for emergent and urgent patients of all ages (triage nurse responsibilities)/n - Initiate and manage IV therapy, administer emergency medications and blood products/n - Provide care for ventilated patients and those requiring central line management; manage critical care interventions/n - Monitor and document procedural sedation and maintain strict infection prevention and PPE protocols/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, case management, and physicians/n - Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR (electronic charting for ER nurses)/n - Support safe patient throughput, effective dispositions, and transitions of care/n /n/nWhy This Travel Nursing Job in Olney, MD?/n Olney offers a welcoming suburban atmosphere, strong schools, parks, shopping, and convenient access to the greater Washington, D.C. metro area.
