Wound Care Services Overview GW’s wound care program supports patients across a multidisciplinary limb preservation model—built to reduce amputations and streamline complex care (vascular, plastics, podiatry/ortho, infectious disease, wound experts, and more). Our Wound Care Services leadership is deeply integrated into hospital quality and pressure injury prevention efforts, reflecting a strong outcomes- and standards-driven culture. Position Summary The Outpatient Wound Care RN provides skilled nursing assessment, treatment support, and patient education for individuals with complex wounds. This role supports clinic flow, assists with procedures and advanced therapies, ensures accurate wound documentation, and reinforces best practices for healing and prevention. Main Tasks • Assess wounds: stage, measure, document, and track progress. • Help with treatments: dressing changes, compression, support, and wound vac. • Assist with procedures and coordinate supplies/referrals. • Educate patients/families and reinforce home-care plans. • Maintain EMR documentation and support clinic operations.
