Job Description:
ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join
our per diem team, providing top-tier speech and language therapy
services within our non-profit health system. This role is crucial
in delivering customized care plans that meet the diverse needs of
our patients across their recovery and rehabilitation journey.
Working within a multifaceted healthcare environment, you will have
the opportunity to collaborate with a team of skilled professionals
dedicated to promoting patient health and wellness in Delaware.
Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and
swallowing abilities Develop and provide tailored treatment plans
based on comprehensive assessments Monitor patient progress and
adjust treatments as needed Educate patients and families on
communication strategies and coping mechanisms Collaborate with
healthcare professionals to integrate speech therapy into holistic
patient care Document and maintain accurate patient records for
ongoing management and reporting requirements Expertise in
diagnostic procedures and treatment techniques for diverse speech
disorders Ability to adapt therapy to the unique needs of
individual patients Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Competence in the use of assistive technologies and speech therapy
software Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
(CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
(ASHA)
