Encompass Health Mechanicsburg is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team, delivering exceptional care to patients recovering from life-altering illnesses and injuries. In this role, the successful candidate will assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients. By joining our compassionate team, you will contribute to our mission of improving overall patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life through specialized therapeutic techniques tailored to the individual needs of each patient. Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities. Plan and administer appropriate treatment to minimize patient disability following disease or injury. Record, maintain, and report patient progress to relevant stakeholders. Educate patient and family members about communication strategies and coping mechanisms. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment. Stay current with new techniques and technologies in speech therapy. In-depth knowledge of speech disorders and treatments Ability to utilize various speech therapy equipment and technology Strong interpersonal and communication skills Capability to handle sensitive information confidentially Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid state license in speech-language pathology
