Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated and
skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Kaiser Medicine Surgery
department. We focus on delivering patient-first healthcare
services from primary care to advanced surgeries, ensuring every
patient receives the highest standard of care. This position
requires a compassionate individual who can thrive in a dynamic and
challenging environment, providing high-quality surgical care while
upholding our values of patient-centered service. Provide direct
and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the surgical unit.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate
the continuity of patient care. Implement patient care plans and
monitor outcomes, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure
optimal recovery. Educate patients and their families on surgical
processes, post-operative care, and health maintenance. Maintain
accurate patient records and adhere to all safety and compliance
standards. Participate in professional development and continuous
education opportunities to keep abreast of advancements in surgical
nursing. Proven ability to perform in fast-paced, surgical
environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills. Proficient in
using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operation.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) preferred.
