Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading nonprofit healthcare organization
serving the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area, is seeking a passionate,
dedicated New Graduate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic
healthcare teams. The selected candidate will have the opportunity
to work closely with seasoned professionals, leveraging
cutting-edge techniques and treatments to deliver exceptional
patient care in various rehabilitation settings. This role includes
hands-on patient interactions, assessments, and collaboration with
an interdisciplinary team to promote optimum health and functional
outcomes for patients of all ages. Perform initial and ongoing
physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of
practice and patient needs. Plan and execute individualized
treatment plans that promote maximum functional mobility and
independence in a safe and timely manner. Document patient care and
progress thoroughly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date healthcare
records. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan
and evaluate team strategies to ensure the comprehensive delivery
of patient care. Educate patients and their families about
treatment plans, exercises, and transitions of care. Participate in
continuing education sessions to remain updated with the latest
physical therapy practices and technologies. Strong analytical and
diagnostic skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in using physical therapy software and equipment
Ability to handle a physically demanding workload Medical Insurance

license for the state of Virginia, Maryland, or Washington D.C.
Proof of completion of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy
education program Licensed to practice in the respective state or
eligible for licensure
