Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Clinton, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,136 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Clinton, Maryland, 20735! Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license in the applicable state Certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE required Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. First-time travelers with NICU experience accepted. Every other weekend required. Every other holiday required. Float to Postpartum and Labor and Delivery for neonatal care required. Description: The NICU RN will be responsible for caring for neonates in critical condition. The nurse will monitor and maintain the stability of cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic, and thermal functions. The nurse will assist with specialized procedures, such as lumbar puncture and endotracheal resuscitation of newborns that are 32 weeks or greater. The nurse will initiate, modify, or stop treatment when appropriate according to established protocols or orders. The nurse must be proficient in respiratory support via high-flow oxygen, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation. The nurse must manage central lines and perform peripheral IV insertions. The nurse will be responsible for lab draws and the administration of IV antibiotics. The nurse will stabilize newborns less than 32 weeks and prepare for transport to a higher-level facility. The nurse must provide thermoregulation for both pre-term and full-term infants. The nurse must have a strong knowledge of apnea and bradycardia related to pre-term infants. Neonatal resuscitation proficiency is essential.
