ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fairfax, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Every other weekend requirement • Holiday expectations: 1 major, 1 minor • Flexible hours with ability to accommodate schedule preferences • First to float if census drops to Medical, Surgical, or Observation Unit • No on-call responsibilities • Work on 36-bed telemetry unit with 1:4 patient ratios on both days and nights • Support staff includes 5 techs, resource RN, and charge RN out of staffing • 3-day floor orientation provided • EPIC experience required • Required certifications: BLS (must be AHA), ACLS, NIHSS • 1 year PCU experience and telemetry experience required • Care for patients with CHF, stroke, sepsis, cardiac dysrhythmias, pneumonia, rule out cardiac conditions, pain management, and observation status patients • May also care for inpatient surgeries when surging • Dress code: Navy blue pants with solid navy blue or solid white tops, navy blue or white jackets allowed, long sleeve shirts under scrubs must be navy or white Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 36-bed progressive care unit specializing in telemetry and observation services. The facility maintains excellent staffing ratios and provides robust support with dedicated technical staff, resource nurses, and charge nurses. The organization utilizes EPIC electronic health records and focuses on providing quality care for patients with cardiac conditions, strokes, sepsis, and other complex medical needs requiring continuous monitoring.
