Job Description Job Description We areseeking a Board-Certified Invasive/Interventional Cardiologist to provide STEMIcall coverage on a locum tenens basis. This intermittent assignment offers24-hour coverage per shift with weekend responsibilities, managing acute STEMIpatients and providing timely, high-quality interventional cardiology care. Schedule& Coverage Shift Type: 24-hour call coverage Frequency: Intermittent monthly coverage Weekend Requirements: Yes Patient Volume: STEMI activations average 0.7 per day (~240 per year) Setting: Hospital-based interventional cardiology service ClinicalResponsibilities Provide urgent interventional cardiology services for STEMI patients Perform catheterization procedures as needed Collaborate with the cardiology and critical care teams for acute patient management Ensure timely STEMI response according to hospital protocols Qualifications MD or DO with Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology Must have an active medical license in Virginia DEA registration Proficiency in STEMI protocols and interventional procedures Richmond is a vibrant city with a rich history, diverse cultural offerings, andstrong healthcare community.
