Registered Nurse (RN) | Educator Location: Washington, DC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,396 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Clinical Specialist - L&D, Mother/Baby, NICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Clinical Education Specialist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 16:30) Experience: 2 years of educator experience required License: Must have DC license in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, BSN required Must-Have: - Inpatient Acute Care experience - Women's Services experience - Effective teaching and presentation skills - Familiarity with EMR: Cerner - NICU experience preferred Description: This nurse specialist will cover Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU Level 3. The Clinical Specialist serves as a clinical expert and healthcare provider. They will act as an educator, collaborator, consultant, leader, and researcher for a specific patient population or specialty area. This role includes providing consultation to address complex patient care issues. The Clinical Specialist offers guidance on the prevention and management of patient care practices. Interdisciplinary support will include IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary. This position requires flexibility as the nurse may come into contact with a variety of patient populations. The nurse will assess the educational needs and performance gaps of staff. They will develop, choose, and implement teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences. The role includes providing timely, constructive, and supportive feedback. The Clinical Specialist will serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students. Workplace safety requirements must be adhered to at all times.
