qualified PICU RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20010! Pay
Information $4,089 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Critical
Care Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night or Day Hours per
Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent Pediatric Intensive
Care Unit (PICU) or Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
(CVPICU) experience License: Valid state license required
Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Strong PICU experience and
comfort with floating to NICU and CVPICU Description: Position
includes Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool with a strong
requirement for PICU experience. The registered nurse will float
between three units: NICU, PICU, and CVPICU. Ratios typically
include 1:1 or 1:2 in the PICU; if floating to NICU, it could be
1:3. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements
include every other weekend, with the possibility of blocked
scheduling available. There is no on-call requirement. The
clinician will float within their scope to meet facility needs. The
candidate should have experience in specific procedures and skills
related to pediatric critical care. Patient age groups include
neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. The position requires
knowledge of and ability to administer various acute and chronic
pediatric care protocols. Compliance with health regulations,
including vaccination requirements, is mandatory. Strong
interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with
interdisciplinary teams are essential. Preferred experience
includes familiarity with a variety of pediatric diagnoses and
treatments. Candidates must be comfortable handling emergencies and
critical situations typically associated with pediatric care.
