Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a DC RN license and 2 years of acute care OR experience. Responsibilities - Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting - Assignment is 13 weeks in length - Ten-hour shifts from 7:00am to 5:30pm - On-call duties required during nights, weekends, and holidays - No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius - Responsible for scrubbing and circulating duties for operative procedures - Prepares the operating room including assembling and checking equipment and supplies - Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative care plans - Serves as a communication liaison with patients, families, and the operating team - Adheres to aseptic technique and defined standards for hospital operating rooms - COVID and flu vaccination documentation required Requirements - Active RN license in the District of Columbia required - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association required - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required - BSN is highly desired - A minimum of 2 years of acute care Operating Room experience in a US hospital is required - Ability to complete both scrubbing and circulating roles in the OR - Mandated CPI certification required - Two references from managers or supervisors preferred Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627217.
