University Hospital Location: Washington, DC 20037, USA Shift:
12-Hour Night Shifts (3x12s per week) Duration Contract : 13 weeks
Job Summary: The ICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive,
high-quality care to critically ill patients in a multidisciplinary
intensive care setting. The RN will be responsible for monitoring,
assessing, and treating patients using advanced medical
technologies and following established nursing standards and
hospital policies. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver patient care in
a fast-paced ICU environment in accordance with the nursing process
and hospital policies. - Monitor and manage critically ill patients
using advanced medical equipment and techniques. - Administer
medications, perform assessments, and interpret diagnostic data. -
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop
and implement individualized care plans. - Provide education and
emotional support to patients and families. - Maintain accurate and
timely documentation in the Cerner EMR system. - Adhere to all
infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. Required
Qualifications: - Current RN license to practice in the
state/district. - Minimum 3 years of ICU experience. - Cerner
experience – Required. - NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications –
Required. - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing
program. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Highly
desired. Technical Skills / Equipment Exposure: - Ventilators,
ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors - Pulmonary artery catheters,
arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines - IABP, ECMO/tandem
heart, Impella devices - BIS monitors, CRRT, intravenous infusion
pumps - Gastric tubes, continuous pulse oximetry Must reside at
