ER RN Job Details - Location: Clinton, Maryland 20735 (Greater Washington, D.C. area) - Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract - Start Date: November 17, 2025 - End Date: February 16, 2026 - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week) - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1630 - $1750 - Patient Ratio: 1:4 - Unit Size: 40-bed Emergency Department, 130 daily visits - Scrub Color: Purple (not provided) - Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions) ER Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Compact or Maryland RN license (required at time of submission) - Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience in a U.S. hospital - At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment (required) - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS (all required for ER nursing jobs) - Recent experience in an Emergency Department with at least 125 visits per day within the past 8 months - Expertise in triage (required for emergency nursing roles) - Proficient in IV starts and phlebotomy - Charge nurse experience preferred; must be willing to orient and work as charge nurse - Experience with Cerner EMR preferred - Two (2) supervisor references required ER RN Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department - Perform triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy while managing a 1:4 patient ratio - Efficiently prioritize and organize care in a fast-paced clinical environment - Serve as charge nurse as needed after orientation - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response - Document patient care using Cerner EMR - Follow all infection control and safety protocols, including isolation precautions - Care for patients across the lifespan: neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics - Provide care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including potential COVID-19 cases Ready to take your ER nursing career to the next level?
