Compensation - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,650–$1,770 per week ICU RN Job Details - Location: Clinton, Maryland 20735 (Washington, D.C. metro area) - Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract - Start Date: November 17, 2025 - Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) - Hours per Week: 36 - Patient Ratio: 1:2 (ICU standard) - Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per contract; every other weekend and holiday rotation - Float Requirement: May float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, or IMC units - Charting System: Cerner EMR - Scrubs: Hunter Green (not provided) - Parking: Free on-site parking ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Experience in cardiac ICU, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and renal failure care - Advanced IV therapy skills: IV insulin protocols, arterial line management, blood product administration, central/PICC line care, starting IVs, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, emergency medication administration - Neurological care: CVA/acute stroke management - Respiratory/thoracic care: ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube assistance, high-flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, suctioning - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) - Two supervisor references required - Comfortable caring for COVID-19 patients - First-time travel nurses welcome! ICU RN Responsibilities - Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU/CCU - Monitor and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, respiratory illnesses, renal failure, sepsis, stroke, cardiac events, and more - Administer and titrate critical drips and emergency medications - Perform advanced IV therapy, ventilator management, and assist with specialized procedures such as chest tubes and arterial lines - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response - Float to Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or Intermediate Care units as needed - Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR - Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled Ready to advance your nursing career with a top Maryland healthcare job?
