Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Blood
and Marrow Transplant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of
experience required. License: Must have a valid state license prior
to start date. Accepting pending licenses under specific
conditions. Certifications: BCLS, ONS Chemotherapy Certification
preferred. Must-Have: Experience in Blood and Marrow Transplant,
Hematology, Medical Oncology, or strong Medical Surgical
experience. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a
specialized unit focusing on Blood and Marrow Transplant patients.
The role involves administering chemotherapy and monitoring patient
telemetry. The nurse will perform intravenous starts as needed.
Weekend shifts will be required roughly every other week, depending
on unit needs. It is essential for the nurse to be flexible and
able to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity when
necessary. All staff members are required to receive the influenza
vaccine, with no exemptions allowed. The initial patient schedule
will be created based on unit needs, with opportunities for future
schedule preferences. Scrubs must be any color without hospital
logos. Charting will be done using the designated electronic health
record system. Two supervisor references will be required prior to
starting the position.
