Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Adult Critical Care experience - Emergency Department experience - Experience with transports - Skills in endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, and intubation assist - Experience in nasal airway placement and oral airway placement - Knowledge of the care of patients with conditions such as ARDS, COVID, fresh tracheostomy, and pneumonia - Proficiency with medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, and Xopenex - Skills in aerosol setup (mask, hand-held, heated, T-piece, trach collar) - Experience with bag and mask ventilation - Proficiency in using ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, flow-by, CPAP, and Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (IMV) - Ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean from mechanical ventilation - Skills in arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and chest physiotherapy Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting. The role requires proficiency in various respiratory procedures and patient care techniques. Candidates should be familiar with managing patients in critical care environments. Experience in the emergency department is a significant advantage. The position involves working with diverse patient cases, including respiratory distress and ventilatory support. The therapist will be expected to provide high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Availability for every other weekend and holiday is necessary. Candidates with prior charge experience and community hospital backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This role does not provide scrubs; employees should wear black scrubs.
