A MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans
to produce detailed and high-resolution images of internal organs,
tissues, and structures within the body. These images assist
physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions
such as injuries, diseases, and abnormalities. The MRI Technologist
operates specialized imaging equipment, ensures patient safety, and
collaborates with healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnostic
information. /n/nKey Responsibilities:/n /n - Perform MRI scans
using specialized equipment to capture detailed images of the
body’s internal structures. /n - Prepare patients for MRI
procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly,
and ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure. /n -
Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, adjusting
settings as necessary to ensure accurate diagnostic results. /n -
Monitor and support patients throughout MRI procedures, ensuring
their safety and comfort in a confined, noise-controlled
environment. /n - Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and
other healthcare professionals to review MRI images and assist in
the interpretation of findings. /n - Maintain accurate and detailed
patient records, including imaging data and scan results, for
physician review. /n - Ensure proper handling and maintenance of
MRI equipment, including conducting safety checks and regular
calibration. /n - Adhere to safety protocols related to MRI,
including monitoring patients for any potential adverse reactions
and using protective measures as needed. /n - Educate patients on
MRI procedures, preparing them for potential claustrophobic
concerns and managing any anxiety during the process. /n - Stay
current on advancements in MRI technology, imaging techniques, and
patient care standards through continuing education. /n
/n/nQualifications:/n /n - Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s
degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a related
field. /n - Certification:/n /n - Certified MRI Technologist (CMR)
certification from the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance
Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). /n - Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required. /n /n /n - Experience: Prior experience as
an MRI Technologist /n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID 32154342. Pay
package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject
to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
