Job Description:

Riverdale Park Animal Hospital is seeking a high-energy, preferably experienced, Veterinary Assistant to join our growing practice. Our hospital serves primarily dogs and cats in the Riverdale area. Applicants must be well-spoken, motivated, responsible, and capable of giving excellent patient care and customer service. Qualified candidates will be expected to answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with hands-on patient care services. Job expectations will include but are not limited to: 1. Providing excellent client communication, 2. Restraining pets as necessary 3. Self-motivation to complete daily tasks 4. Take the initiative on the day-to-day duties without being told. 8. sanitizing/cleaning both animal enclosures and the overall facility 9. Processing payments 10. Computer/typing skills 10. Be able to stay proactive and work with little to no supervision. 11-Knowledge of basic pet care and wellness. Spanish speakers and individuals with experience in animal care in a professional setting are a significant plus. This position is full-time, with hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
