Experience: --- 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months. --- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience is required from any number of months. --- BSN completion preferred Requirements: --- Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission). --- This role will require floating to multiple units --- Local & travel allowed. Candidates living Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process. Additional Details: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM. Shift: D/N: shifts range from No on call requirement Weekend: Every Other Float Requirement: Will float between MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC Units, ED/PACU to care for ICU/IMC boarders 2 years of experience: ICU, Surgical ICU, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, IV therapy, IV sedation, chemo administration RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review. No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment. Return Staff Policy: If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler. You will not interview with the hiring manager if the facility chooses to extend an offer to you for this position. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
