Job Responsibilities:
- The Surgical Technologist CVOR acts as a resource in an Inova Fairfax Medical Campus CVOR. Assists OR Service Leader to ensure unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and JCAHO standards.
- Demonstrates leadership traits and supporting behavioral competencies.
- Assists the OR Service Leader in analyzing data, ensuring team adherence to performance standards, and improving processes continuously.
- Serves as primary liaison and information resource for specialty.
- Oversees the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic, evidence-based environment that produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
Requirements for Consideration:
- Certification - Basic Life Support upon start; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) via NCCT; Must be eligible for Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.
- Registration must be completed within 6 months of hire
- Licensure - None required
- Experience - 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience in cardiac surgery
