  GENERAL SURGERY/BARIATRICS/GI/PRE & POST SURGICAL FLOOR - REGISTERED NURSE3x12 hours per week - 6 month temporary assignmentDays/Nights or Nights only$70.00/hr + $4 to $8 Shift DiffUnit Summary: The 39-bed unit is dedicated to providing high-quality pre/post general surgical care as well as managing the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. The RN will be responsible for providing patient-focused nursing care to patients with various surgical needs, including Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies, Tracheostomies, kidney and liver transplants, and trauma patients. RNs on this unit can learn about a wide range of surgical procedures and techniques, which can enhance their expertise and contribute to their professional development. Qualifications

  • Current RN License in good standing with state licensing board.
  • BSN OR enrollment in BSN program to be completed in 5 years.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting.
  • BLS certification (ACLS within 3 months of hire)
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
