About The Position Job Title: Clinical Administrative Supervisor
(House Supervisor) Location: Valley Medical Center, Renton, WA,
98055 Shift: Nights HOURS OF WORK: Variable Duration: 16 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Position Overview: The Clinical
Administrative Supervisor serves as a key member of the Patient
Care Services Administration team. This role is essential for
overseeing the delivery of quality patient care across the
hospital, ensuring efficient use of resources, and providing
leadership and support to clinical staff. The position is
responsible for supervising patient care delivery, allocating
staffing resources based on patient acuity, and supporting the
Synergy model of care delivery. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care
Oversight: Supervise and assist in delivering high-quality,
customer-focused patient care on a house-wide basis. Ensure that
patient care meets professional standards and expectations.
Staffing and Resource Management: Allocate staffing resources to
meet patient care requirements effectively. Adjust staffing levels
as needed based on patient acuity and hospital needs.
Administrative Support: Serve as a Clinical and Operational
Resource across the hospital. Provide administrative support for
various departments, including staffing office, leadership, and
direct patient care staff. Patient Placement and Throughput: Manage
patient placement and throughput, including transfers from the ED,
procedural areas, and direct admissions from clinics or other
healthcare facilities. Quality Assurance: Assist with quality
assurance, quality control, and quality improvement activities.
Participate in departmental QA/QC/QI efforts. Emergency Support:
Provide off-hours administrative support for OR and ICU. Respond to
emergency situations, including CODE BLUE, RRT, CODE GREY, CODE
STROKE, CODE SEPSIS, CODE MTP, RSI, and Emergent Conscious
Sedation. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory
standards (JCAHO/DSHS/DOH/Federal). Participate in compliance
activities and meetings. Communication: Maintain effective
communication with staff, leadership, risk management, and other
stakeholders to ensure consistent practices and address concerns.
Clinical Mentoring: Serve as a mentor to staff, providing guidance
and support in clinical practice. Assist with direct patient care
during staffing crises or patient surges. Morgue Management:
Oversee morgue management, including optimizing space,
collaborating with eye and tissue banks, mortuaries, and families.
Committee Involvement: Participate in relevant committees,
including CODE, SCSC, and Workplace Violence Committees. Attend all
required meetings and perform additional duties as needed.
Additional Information: Orientation: Orientation hours are not

Qualifications: Licensure: Licensed to practice as a professional
Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. Experience: Minimum of
three (3) years of clinical experience required. Two (2) years of
ER or Critical Care experience preferred. Two (2) years of
clinical/administrative leadership experience preferred. Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Master---s degree
preferred. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS certifications
required Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with
EPIC, IOS, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively
in a collaborative environment and handle high-pressure situations.
