• Employment Type: StaffThe Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a cardiothoracic transplant surgeon to join it's nationally recognized team of surgeons in a high-volume, diverse multidisciplinary practice. The ideal candidate should have a broad experience in adult cardiac surgery with a dedicated interest in heart and lung transplantation as well as mechanical circulatory support. Competitive new graduates will be considered.   • Board eligible or board certified in cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Able to obtain Virginia state medical license and full / unrestricted hospital privileges at Inova hospitals.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences, in group settings or one-on-one.
  • Expertise in establishing physician relationships combined with the ability to manage an interdisciplinary team while appreciating and fostering peer participation from all disciplines.
