Job Description:

BK Behavioral Health Center is seeking experienced professional counselors who can perform a variety of professional counseling services for child/adolescent and/or adult patient populations. The candidate must also perform interviews with patients and families to assess psychosocial problems, create treatment plans, and monitor and evaluate the patient's progress. Communicate with patients based on their understanding of cognitive and developmental needs. Make sure documentation is up to date, and conduct individual/family and group therapy sessions for patients. Fee for Service*Principal Responsibilities:** Patient Assessment* Treatment Planning* Documentation/Reporting* Must be able to carry and keep a certain number of patient caseload* Meet with patients to determine the exact nature of their mental health concerns* Provide targeting counseling designed to help the individual overcome their problems* Remain knowledgeable of the latest methodologies in counseling to provide patients with the best possible care* Refer patients to other mental healthcare providers as necessary* Remain warm and engaged through the duration of every patients counseling session* *Qualifications* *Requires a valid LCPC or LCPC-S license to practice in the State of Maryland.** *Knowledge of psychosocial disorders, diagnoses, and therapies, and professional counseling theory, principles, and practice' master's degree in mental health counseling or other related field of study.** Two to three years of relevant field and work experience in clinical counseling.* Work requires analytical ability to collect and interpret data to resolve psychosocial problems and prepare treatment plans and implement treatment strategies.* Must have personal vehicle and be covered under an active auto insurance policy.
