• Employment Type: TravelAmerican Traveler is offering a traveling Intensive Care Unit assignment in Washington DC Job Duties: Intensive Care Unit RNICU nurses specialize in treating critically ill patients in general intensive care units, post-op units, burn units, and other specialized, intensive care units. Most Critical Care travel positions are in hospitals, but ICU RNs can choose from many different subspecialties. Some rehabilitation facilities also use critical care nurses because of their skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes. An important function of Critical Care nurses is to provide education and support to patients and their families. Essential Qualifications
  • All Registered Nurse candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid professional license within the state of practice
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid BLS through the American Heart Association
  • Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific travel positions.
